CULTURE & HAPPENINGS
DID YOU KNOW?

That Caesar salad is Mexican?! It was created in 1924 in Tijuana, Mexico, by Italian-American chef Caesar Cardini. On a busy weekend with limited ingredients, Cardini improvised the dish using romaine lettuce, croutons, Parmesan, eggs, olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce. Prepared tableside, the salad became an instant hit, earning Tijuana a place in culinary history.

This section showcases my love of Mexican art, films and music. I offer a handpicked recommendation to deepen your connection with this magical country and its people.
